Meet Julie

A working mom with deep Macomb roots.

Julie Leonardi has spent her life working, serving, and raising her family in the communities she is running to represent.

Roseville roots and a life of work.

Julie is a lifelong Macomb resident with deep roots in Roseville. Her first lessons about work, responsibility, and community came early, including driving a truck for her dad's small business and learning what local families and small businesses need to keep moving.

She has built her life around practical service: working in child care, serving local schools, driving a school bus, and showing up for families who need someone steady in their corner.

That everyday experience is why Julie is running for Michigan House District 13. She knows families need a representative who understands school routes, grocery bills, neighborhood safety, road conditions, and the pressure working parents carry.

Serving students and families.

Julie has worked around kids and schools for years, including time at Henry Ford II High School, as a CDL Class B school bus driver, at Great Lake Child Care, Little Feet Retreat, Chippewa Valley and Roseville schools, and as a Fraser lunch monitor.

That work gives her a direct view of what students, parents, teachers, aides, bus drivers, and school staff deal with every day. She believes strong schools start with listening to the people closest to students.

Advocacy shaped by family and community.

Julie understands special needs advocacy personally and has worked to support families through Aiden's Ninjas and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Her approach is personal, practical, and rooted in the belief that government should be responsive to the people who need help navigating it.

She is running to bring that same focus to Lansing: strong schools, safe neighborhoods, better roads, and real support for seniors, working families, and neighbors with special needs.

Ready for District 13.

Julie is asking for the chance to represent the communities she knows: Roseville, Warren, Fraser, and Saint Clair Shores. Her campaign is about listening, working hard, and keeping Michigan focused on families.
